What I Would Like To Be When I Grow Up


When I grow up, I would like to be many things such as a scientist, a

doctor, a pilot or an engineer. And the things I would not like to be are a toilet

cleaner, a Tuk Tuk driver and a bus driver.

   Firstly, I choose to be a scientist. A scientist is an expert in at least one area

of science who uses the scientific method to do research and experiments. I want

to be a scientist by a desire to understand why the world is as I see it and how it

came to be. I want to exhibit a strong curiosity about nature.

   If I can not be a scientist, I would like to be a doctor because doctors keep

people healthy. When people get sick, doctors give people medicine and other

kinds of treatment. Doctor use science to figure out what is the cause of the

sickness in people and they cure pain and illness.

   But if I can not be either a scientist or a doctor. I would like to be a pilot.

Because I would like to travel around the world since I have never been to foreign

country. A pilot is a person who flies and controls aircraft. Since I was young, I

love to look at airplanes in the sky every day. I want to know how it flies and I

wonder how the airplane works.

At present, I think about what I am going to be when I grow up. I think that

nothing in the world is constant. I might be something that I would not like to be

such as a toilet cleaner, Tuk Tuk driver and a bus driver. But these are

incorruptible jobs, even through it get little money per day.

   The first occupation that I would not like to be is a toilet cleaner. I do not

want to breathe any disgusting waste air from toilets or to see terrible dirty things

in the toilet.

   The second occupation that is a little bit better than a toilet cleaner but I

would not like to be is a Tuk Tuk driver. I do not want to be a Tuk Tuk driver. I do

not want to be a Tuk Tuk driver be cause Thailand has so much pollution. If I have

to drive a Tuk Tuk every day, I am going to die faster.

   The last occupation that I would not like to be is a bus driver. A bus driver

is better than a toilet cleaner and a Tuk Tuk driver. Some buses have air

conditioner and look better than a Tuk Tuk, but a bus driver still gets just a little

money.

   So these things make me think that if I start to work hard from now on, in

the future I will not be tried. I will be able to work for my family and take care of

my family like my parents do. If I can be what I would like to be, I think I should

be very happy.
